Anastasios Orfanidis

Build. Teach. Organise.

I believe in craft, curiosity, and not pretending broken things are fine.

Craft

  • Humility Stay grounded, however strong you become
  • Ownership If I shipped it, I answer for it
  • Curiosity Read the source when the docs run out

I practise software as a craft. Artisan code, written test first, in pairs, reviewed every day, and never changed before it is understood.

Good engineering is more than the code. It is communication, and it is keeping the product and the person using it at the centre of every decision. AI writes code fast now. Craft is still slow human work, and that is the work I do.

EkoHacks

The products above come out of EkoHacks, the software craftsmanship dojo I founded in Lagos.

  1. 01 The Dojo TDD, pairing, and daily reviews, taught through dialogue on shipping products.
  2. 02 EkoLite Our open source real time framework. Small enough to hold in your head.
  3. 03 The Institute Corporate team training, opening in Evros, Greece.

AURIO

AURIO is a movement and thinking school for social change. My part is the policies in public and the technology underneath.

  1. 01 The Policies Twelve pillars of evidence based policy, taken to the public.
  2. 02 The Platform Where the movement organises and does its thinking. In build now.
  3. 03 The CRM CiviCRM. Every member, volunteer, and conversation in one place.
